Our story.

Our textile roots go back to the early years of the last century when Ferdinando Pesaro started the Pesaro knitwear factory. In 1966, his son Franco founded Torcitura Padana just a few kilometers away in the province of Pavia. These deep and solid roots propel us toward a future full of challenges.

In the 1990s, the company entered the market directly with its own collections to meet the needs of an increasingly demanding and competitive clientele. Research, technique, and creativity gave rise to a new approach to both the product and the market.

In 2013, we filed the patent and trademark for COEX®, a technology poised to change the course of certain segments within the textile industry.

In 2016, a division for the commercialization and processing of technical yarns, TPtech, was established. The goal is to offer our clients a more integrated approach, from research & development to service, aligned with our company identity.

In 2017, Torcitura Padana acquired the business branch of Interfil srl, a Como-based company that markets both natural and synthetic yarns for the apparel sector.

In 2019, COEX srl was founded in collaboration with Zanolo spa. The company is named after the innovative technology patented worldwide, which makes natural fibers intrinsically fireproof without the use of chemical additives.

To bring our innovative spirit to the technical textile market, in 2020 and 2021, amid the pandemic, we revitalized our operations by renewing our machinery.

In 2022 and 2023, with soaring energy costs and environmental sustainability becoming essential, we promptly installed a 1-megawatt photovoltaic system.

In 2024, Torcitura Padana S.p.A. acquired Ghezzi S.p.A., a major company specializing in the production of high-end artificial yarns, thereby strengthening its position in the textile sector.

Today, Torcitura Padana is a national and international reference point in the yarn industry, consistently dedicated to the research and development of innovative technical and technological solutions.
